Today I re cut some parts of my chess board along with the base board. It turns out that when I was cutting with the table saw some of my measurements were off. The square stayed consistent, they were just the wrong size. This is a problem because my borders are supposed to be longer than eight square put together but it is the same size. To combat this is I cut 0.5’’ of the borders off (witch are made out of Padauk). Then I will put a siding on the corners to combat the length. It will make more sense when you see it. I also found out that I was missing two squares so I needed to cut those out and make a few final cuts. After this I pieced together my chess board. The last thing I did was build my knight and sand it.
