The Dice Tower | 2D–3D Design J–Term

For my project, I decided to design and build a dice tower. A dice tower is used to ensure that the dice are rolled without any manipulation or sleight of hand. I am planning on using walnut and padauk (an orangey colored wood) as the materials for the tower, but the local store did not have the exact pieces and they will come in through Amazon later on this week. J-Term: Advanced 2D and 3D Design

Asa Forman Mr. Grisbee J-Term: Advanced 2D and 3D Design 14 January 2018 E 1 N 1 D 2 “I accidentally ate a handful of Scrabble tiles, and I’m thinking that my next bowel movement may spell disaster.” Subsequent to a long two day week, I finished my Scrabble game. The complete game is comprised of the board itself, one hundred and one tiles (due to my inability to recognize that I had added an extra k), four tile stands, and a leather bag to house the pieces and stands when not in use. Below, as promised in the blog post previous to this one, are several photos of the complete product followed by a breakdown of the work I did on Friday as well as a work plan for Monday and Tuesday. Day 5 (CD)

On day 5 I started a new project idea involving a pen/ Pencil holder made from a block of wood. As of writing this entry As of now I am not finished with it yet but I have made good progress with the first part of the pencil/ pen holder. I have learned how to use the carvey/ easel program on the computer and the proper procedures for using the carvey machine and maintaining it's previous conditions. No real mistakes were made during this first run except for the time I let the computer go to sleep on accident, but I now know to watch the computer carefully form now on.
